Elora Quarry Conservation Area

Just outside the village of Elora, the Elora Quarry is a great spot for a picnic or a swim. It’s a picturesque setting, with the river on one side and the quarry on the other. There’s a sandy beach for swimming, and the tall quarry cliffs edge the water the rest of the way around. If you like, you can walk along the top level and take in the views. The walk from the parking area down to the beach is nice too, with lots of old cedar trees growing out of moss-covered rocks. There are outhouse-style washrooms and change rooms on site.
