Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls, ON

I don’t know if there’s any tourist attraction in all of Canada more popular than Niagara Falls. It really is mind boggling, watching all that water crashing over the edge of the gorge just a few metres from where you stand (behind the railing). I remember visiting the Falls as a kid and being excited and afraid at the same time. When I visit now, I usually just enjoy walking along the gorge and looking at the water, but you can do other things, like go for a tour behind the falls, take a cable car ride across the gorge, or walk around town and visit the museums, etc. You can spend a lot of money at the restaurants, shops and attractions or you can bring a picnic and check out the many gardens that are free to visit. You might want to have a raincoat or umbrella handy for when you’re close to the spray.
